A Different Kind of Rewards Program
We all get them, offers to be part of a rewards program that will give us free products and services after we have spent a certain amount of money or accrued a certain number of points. As a "special member" of the rewards programs we get email offers and "special discounts" to keep us spending more. Sadly, the cost of what we get in return is not even close to what we spend to get it.
But God (I love saying that!) has a better plan. God's plan comes with immediate rewards and we always get more than we give. A lot more.
Your kindness will reward you, but your cruelty will destroy you.

Every act of kindness you do will come back to you. Every mean thing you do will also come back to you.
In today's world, kindness is a priceless gift. Very few people take the time to be kind and that is a real shame. Especially when we can see right here that when we are kind to others we get rewards.
People used to say "you get what you give." The Bible says, "you reap what you sow" (Gal. 6:7). How we treat others is important to God. In Mat. 7:2 it says that the way we look at others is the same way we will be looked at.
We have been commanded to love others as we love ourselves. To love includes being kind. When we make the choice and effort to be kind to others it captures the notice of both God and man. It draws people to us and allows us to share the love we have so freely been given by God through Jesus Christ.
Kindness is a manifestation of Jesus in you. It is a fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22) and it reflects Jesus to the people around you.
Kindness is more than a virtue, it is a rewards program that gives back to you more than you give away.
