A Letter from Christ

"You show and make obvious that  you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, not written with ink but with [the] Spirit of [the] living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts."
2 Cor. 3:3 (The Amplified Bible)

You are a letter from Christ to the world.  The story of your walk with God is that letter and it is written on your heart. It is a story of a great love that never fades or weakens.  Your story is unique to you because there is only one of you.  Because you are so special to God, He has filled your story with moments of great beauty and delight, of mercy and grace.  There are also chapters of difficulty and pages of heartbreak but even in these parts, God was with you and He left His fingerprint there as a reminder of His presence.  God knows how to fulfill your heart better than anyone else and He should.  He made it, He made you, and He is writing the letter.

God is always with you.  That is why nothing escapes His notice.  He knows what you need and desire before you do.  Like every other relationship you have in life, God wants you to share your heart with Him.  In the Message Bible in Psalm18:24 it says:  "God rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to His eyes."  This means your story is not complete and there are still so many things left to be done.  Talking to God about what is in your heart demonstrates your level of trust in Him and allows Him to use you in ways you never imagined.  This in turn adds another page or another chapter to your letter and it becomes another piece of your story.  But wait, there's more.....

Your story does not stop with you.  You are not supposed to keep it to yourself, although it is a great reminder of God's love and presence in your life and you should remind yourself of what He has done for you.  Your story is meant to be shared.  Your story is for God's glory.  It is the encouraging boost or motivator for someone else to walk closer to God.  In the Old Testament, people told the stories of God's work on their behalf all the time.  They told the stories to visitors, to their children and their children's children.  The Psalms are full of declarations of how God showed up in the lives of His people.  Even the New Testament encourages us to share the story of how Jesus has changed our lives.  Sharing your story strengthens the Body of Christ by demonstrating the faithfulness of God.

Your life is a story about God's great love and mercy for all of mankind.  It tells of saving grace, deliverance, and restoration.  Your story is intended to inspire and compel others to come closer to God.  Acknowledge out loud and in public just how great God is.  Let other people read your letter from Christ.

Well that's all for today.  I am working a long stretch of night shift so it may be several days before I post again.  If you found this to be helpful in any way, please pass it along.  You can also share your story with me, my email address is below.

I pray God will give you opportunities to share your story.  All for the glory of God.
