Chosen Instrument

God has a plan and a purpose for every single person.  Everyone has a call of God on their life.  All people are invited to participate.  God wants to use you to help others.  You are His chosen instrument.

When God told Ananias to go lay hands on Saul, Ananias told God that people were saying Saul was bad and out to get rid of all the followers of Jesus.  God, however, didn't care about human opinion.

But the Lord said to him, Go, for this man is a chosen instrument of Mine to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the descendants of Israel.
                                                                Acts 9:15 The Amplified Bible

God does not concern Himself with what people are saying or thinking about you.  He has His own plans for you (Jer. 29:11).  God has prepared a special place just for you and He has something for you to do.  He has qualified you through the blood of Jesus to be His ambassador in this world.  God believes in you because He knows what He has put in you and what you are capable of doing.

Your past does not disqualify you from serving God, either.  When God looks at you, He does not see what you see when you look at yourself.  He sees you through the blood of Jesus.  From God's point of view, your past has been erased and you are part of His family.  Nothing can remove the call of God from your life.  In fact, the only thing that can stop God from using you - is you.  Don't let what you think of yourself stop you from being all that God made you to be.

When God revealed His plan to Jeremiah, He said:

Before I formed you in the womb I knew and approved of you [as my chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.
                                                        Jer. 1:5 The Amplified Bible

When Jeremiah tried to tell God that he was too young, God told him to stop it.  He wasn't moved by Jeremiah's excuses and He is not moved by yours.  God had a plan and a purpose for you long before you were born.  Don't waste time disqualifying yourself.  You are exactly who God wants.

Jesus tells a parable about a man who was having a great supper and how everyone on the guest list declined to come (Luke 14:16-24).  The man giving the party, when he heard everyone invited had declined, sent his servant out to bring anyone from anywhere into the banquet.  There was still room left at the table, so the servant was sent out again.

The master said, "Then go to the country roads.  Whoever you find, drag them in.  I want my house full!
                                        Luke 14:23 The Message Bible

All are accepted, all are welcome.  God calls everyone to participate in His plan.  God is calling you, right now.  Don't let fear, the opinions of others, or even your own opinions stop you, for God is with you.  Anything you need for the journey, He will provide.

Whatever it is God has put on your heart to do, get it done.  No more excuses.  Stand up and step out.  Be all that God has made you to be.  You are His chosen instrument.
