These Hands

that heal the broken

that care for the sick

that comfort the grieving

that embrace the dying

that wash away sin

that break down defenses

These Hands

          that make two become one

          that create life

          that behold the spirit

          that hold the unborn

          that protect the children

          that shelter the elderly

These Hands

          that guide the lost

          that never let go

          that restore hope

          that feed the hungry

          that shelter the homeless

          that support the soldier in battle

These Hands

          that set you free

          that keep you safe

          that fill you with joy

          that give you peace

          that soothe your soul

          that lift you up

These Hands

          that help you grow

          that carry your burdens

          that strengthen you to endure

          that fill your heart with love

          that shield you in times of trouble

          that hide you from the wicked

These Hands

          that bear the scars of saving you

          that show you the path of life

These Hands.  These sacred holy Hands.  These nail pierced Hands.  God uses your hands as these Hands.
