Empowered

For the kingdom of God consists of and is based on not talk but  power (moral power and excellence of soul).
                                                     1 Cor. 4:20 Amplified Bible

Our words mean nothing unless our actions match them.  Our faith is not seen in what we say but in how we live our lives.

Looking at the earthly life of Jesus, we see Him embracing and assisting every man, woman, and child that came to Him.  He did not stop to consider what it would cost or how much time it would take.  He simply gave and He gave freely of all He had.

We have everything that Jesus had to give and more.  Because we believe in Jesus, we have full access to God just like Jesus.  Jesus said we would be able to do even more than He did because we have the Holy Spirit (John 14:12-17).  So what stops us?  Well, we do.  We limit our lives to fit into this natural world instead of living by faith and letting God have full access in our lives.

I am sad to say that there have been many times that I missed opportunities to make a difference in someone's life because I doubted myself.  When we listen to the lies in our mind and follow them instead of the prompting of the Holy Spirit inside us, we not only limit God in our lives but it also prevents other people from being touched by God.

Our society will continue to decline unless we step up to be the men and women God has made us to be.  Now is the time to let go of all the natural limits we have set for ourselves and live openly to being used by God in all kinds of ways to help people all around us.  This reminds me of a verse in Isaiah:

Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; spare not; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes.
                                                             Isa. 54:2 The Amplified Bible

There is not a minute to lose.  Choose to let God be in the lead and don't doubt Him.  Step out of your comfort zone every day and remain alert to the promptings of the Holy Spirit.  Reach out to the people around you.  Give a smile, a pat on the back, hold a door, or help a momma with small children, do whatever task is before you with a purposeful heart.  Be the Light of Christ and share whatever you have with whoever is in need.

You have been empowered by God to help your fellow man.
