A Gift
As this Christmas season kicks into full gear, I wanted to give you something really special. This post is dedicated to my sisters in Christ. Men, please take from it what you can and share this with the women in your life.
I encourage you to look up and read Isaiah Chapter 12 today. Really take some time (even in this busy holiday season) and think about what it says. It is a beautiful reminder of what we have been given and as women, what we are called to do. I want to share a few of the verses with you from the Amplified.
And in that day you will say, Give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name and by means of His name [in solemn entreaty]; declare and make known His deeds among the people of the earth, proclaim that His name is exalted! Sing praises to the Lord, for He has done excellent things [gloriously]; let this be made known to all the earth. Cry aloud and shout joyfully, you women and inhabitants of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.
Isa. 12:4-6
We are to call upon and trust in Jesus. He alone has saved us. He has rescued us from captivity and released us into His pastures of peace and plenty to live freely with and through Him. The gift of life that is ours through Christ Jesus is meant to be shared and celebrated.
There is a mandate on each of us to tell and proclaim to everyone what Jesus has done or is doing for us and in us. We are to share the story of our life with others so that they may also experience the abundance of a Christ centered life, to the glory of God.
Through the telling of our story which is really the story of Jesus in our life, we will find our hearts inflamed with joy. This joy becomes so great that we cannot contain our happiness for what Jesus has done and we being to sing with exuberance like we never have before. When joy so great fills us we cannot be still. We dance with abandon as we allow the love of Jesus for us, to spread through us and embrace those who are around us.
Jesus is the only reason we have Christmas. As we make sharing what Jesus has done for us the best gift we can give, we will see the impact of our lives (no matter where we are or what we do) spread around the world and with it we will discover the strength of unity. The bond of sisters united with Christ when it is put into motion unleashes the power and blessings that God has promised and reveals His presence in our midst.
I hope these words help you realize that as daughters of the Most High God we have a tremendous ability to change nations. We hold a special and sacred place in God's plan to reveal Himself through Jesus Christ to every person. We cannot do it alone. We can only do it together as the Bride of Christ.
If this has touched your heart or cleared your vision about something God has place within you, please share it. Share it with me and share it with others.
May the peace of God's abundant grace and mercy fill your lives.
