Open Lives Pt 4
The whole point of what we're urging is simply love -- love uncontaminated by self-interest and counterfeit faith, a life open to God.

I am still thinking about living open to God. There is not an area of our lives that is outside of God's reach. The way we choose to live will either let Him in or keep Him out.
When we decide to focus on love, what we are really looking at is the very nature and essence of God. 1 John 4:8 says, "God is love." Choosing to receive and give love keeps our lives open to God.
God loves you. Period. Nothing else compares to the depth, the length, the height, or the width of His love for you. It cannot be measured by any other standard than that while you were still separated from Him by your sin, God gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, as the blood sacrifice to pay the debt of your sin in full thereby closing the distance between you and bringing you into fellowship with Him.
God's love for you is pure and beautiful. This can be difficult for us to really comprehend because God does not love like we do. God's love for you is free from hidden motives and is not tainted by selfishness. He does not withhold Himself from you for any reason. God always has your best interest at heart. He never holds a grudge or betrays you, and He never pouts.
God eagerly waits for you to look His way. He longs for you with the passion of a lover and the comfort of a best friend. God adores you. He delights in you. His face lights up when you look His way.
Today, take time to receive God's love for you.
