Presence
I have been consumed today with God's presence. He is so beautiful, so lovely, so loving. My breath catches in my throat as I gaze upon His holiness. I cannot speak or accurately describe the greatness of God. All of creation sings praises to the God of the universe.
All of Your works will thank you, Lord, and Your faithful followers will praise You.
Psalm 145:10 NLT
God is always with us whether we realize it or not. We cannot escape His presence anymore than we can His love for us. Both are constant in our lives wherever we go and whatever we do. God gives all of Himself to us freely as an example of how we are to give all of ourselves to Him.
The fullness of Who God is dwells within us. It is a limitless gift given to us through Jesus Christ. We are His beloved and He delights greatly in us. It is with that thought that I sat down with God today. My goal was to simply sit with Him, to enjoy His presence, and to praise Him. There is a powerful peace that over takes us as we take the time to sit down with God for no other reason than to be with Him. It is unlike anything else in this world.
Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you in praising and worshiping our Father in Heaven. The fruit of the Spirit as described in Gal. 5:22 consumes the heart and life of the one who lets the Holy Spirit lead them.
When was the last time you just sat down with God, just to relax and praise Him? I feel strongly the need to encourage you to make time regularly to do this.
