Word Up

I woke up this morning thinking "The Word."  I have been meditating on it all morning.  The Word of God - so powerful, so wise, so loving, so true - it is God speaking directly to you.

For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.
                                                            Heb. 4:12 Amplified Bible
God's word is alive and active but the only way it can move in your life is if you read your Bible and receive what it says.  In Prov. 8:17 we are guaranteed to find God if we seek Him.  We seek God when we spend time reading and thinking about His Word.  There are so many things competing for our time and attention that it is hard to find time to sit with God.  Do not be deceived.  You cannot know God without knowing His Word.
The Word of God cannot be separated from God because it is God (John 1:1).  Every word of the Bible is spoken by God to you (2 Tim 3:16).  It is meant to be received and used by you every day as an outward expression of your love and faith in God.
God uses His Word to lead and guide us in life.  It is not limited in any way because God is limitless.  No matter what you are struggling with or what you are going through, there is a response, a solution, a word of wisdom and encouragement for you in His Word.

                          The Word shapes my life
It gives life to my dreams
                          Puts dreams in my heart
Keeps my heart in God's hands.
I wrote this based on 2 Tim 3:17 in the Message:
Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.
The Word is necessary for our growth and development as children of God.  Just like we need food and water, we need the Word of God on a daily basis.
