The Best Decision

Namely, the righteousness of God which comes by believing with personal trust and confident reliance on Jesus Christ (the Messiah).  [And it is meant] for all who believe.  For there is no distinction.  Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives.  [All] are justified and made upright and in right standing with God, freely and gratuitously by His grace (His unmerited favor and mercy), through the redemption which is [provided] in Christ Jesus.

All of us are in the same boat.  None of us are able to achieve God's mercy by our own good behavior.

The only way to get to God and to be made right in God's eyes is through believing in Christ Jesus.  Notice the use of the words "personal trust and confident reliance" that describes how we live what we believe.

A life of faith begins with the choice to believe that Jesus IS exactly Who He says He is and that He has done all that He says He has done.  When we believe in Jesus  every aspect of our lives will change.

Some areas change quicker than others and some require repeated lessons throughout your lifetime.  But still, everything changes when we choose to believe in Him.

When we commit our hearts to something or someone, our whole outlook on life changes.  This is especially true with Jesus because He has done for us what we could never do for ourselves.  He washes away all of our sin, even the sin we have not done yet.  His death is the complete payment for our sin caused debt.  This is the mercy of God that is given to each and every believer in Jesus Christ.

With the removal of our sin we are washed.  With this cleansing, we are made spotless, perfect, and blameless in the eyes of God.  No accusation can stand against us for the blood of Christ proves it false.

Throughout our lives the blood of Jesus does it's perfect work when we repent.  That means we are cleaned up every time we apologize for our sin and turn back to God.

When we sin, our focus is diverted from God and with repentance, we turn back to Him.

Staying focused on God is a daily commitment.  You cannot stay dedicated to God for the duration of your life without the daily surrender of your life to Christ.

Choose today, choose every day, to let Christ Jesus rule and reign in your heart.

Choose today to live by faith in Him.
