You are the Example
We are the example of godly living to the people around us.
Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God.
Mat. 5:16 Message
Make this your common practice: confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed.
Jam. 5:16 Message
You are the example.
Your life and the way you live it is the example to non-believers of what a godly life looks like.
By being respectful and admitting when we are wrong, we set the example for those around us of how to live with God. Being open about the ups and downs of your life depicts God's mercy and grace as a beautiful gift and people will not fear coming to Him because they see the joy you experience as a result of being honest about who you are.
The pressure to be perfect is removed when you let your life be the example. Confession is good for the soul and it removes the weight of quilt that we tend to carry. Honestly admitting what we have done promotes peace and harmony within the body of Christ. It also brings healing and wholeness. As you share about how you've messed up, God's love and mercy is demonstrated and celebrated.
When you are open about yourself, God's acceptance of all people who turn to Him is revealed. It brings to light the inclusiveness of Christ and the desire of God that none should perish.
The heart peace that comes from living honestly with God is proof to the skeptic that God can and does love them. No one is beyond the reach of God's love. His arms are never too short to reach out and embrace us or too weak to protect us.
Your life is an example of God's faithfulness in every situation.
