Called
It is through Him that we have received grace (God's unmerited favor) and [our] apostleship to promote obedience to the faith and make disciples for His name's sake among all nations, and this includes you, called of Jesus Christ and invited [as you are} to belong to Him.
Rom. 1:5-6 Amplified
It is because of Jesus and what He's done for us that we are all given God's grace. None of us deserve the favor of God but He gives it to us anyway through Jesus Christ.
Not only that, He has also made each of us an apostle. Every person (that includes you) is to live by faith and thereby be an example for others to follow. As an apostle, not only must you live the Word of God but God wants you to share what you have learned along the way with those who are new to Christ. This is how we make disciples.
As we live for God and encourage those around us to do the same thing, we are promoting obedience to the faith.
None of this is based on our perfect performance. God knows our weaknesses and faults but still chooses to use us anyway.
Our humbleness in admitting when we are wrong and the receiving of His mercy are also part of our testimony to God's greatness.
You belong to God, through Jesus Christ. When you choose to believe in Jesus, you are accepting God's invitation to become a part of His family as well as the family business. Your acceptance also includes growing up and doing what you were made to do.
You are called by God to help others come to know Him.
