Word of Life 1

All week I have had verses hanging around in my mind, reminding me about the value and importance of the Word of God.

 Here are some of them:

He added: "Take to heart all the words of warning I have given you today.  Pass them on as a command to your children so they will obey every word of these instructions.  These instructions are not empty words -- they are your life!  By obeying them you will enjoy a long life in the land you will occupy when you cross the Jordan River."
                                                            Deut. 32:46-47 NLT (emphasis mine)

But the Word is very near you, in your mouth and in your mind and in your heart, so that you can do it.
                                                               Deut. 30:14 Amplified

And may love the Lord your God, obey His voice, and cling to Him.  For He is your life and the length of your days, that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to give your Fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
                                                                Deut. 30:20 Amplified

These instructions are not empty words -- they are your life!
                                                                Deut. 32:47 NLT

Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instructions, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God's will in thought, purpose, and action), so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.
                                                                    2 Tim. 3:16-17 Amplified

...man does not live by bread only, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.
                                                                  Deut. 8:3b Amplified

The Word of God is priceless.  It shapes our lives, transforms us, and prospers us.   Take some time to meditate on these verses.  Think about how God's word has changed you and your life.  Share your story with friends and ask about how God is changing them.

Open up more of your life to the magnificent power of God's Word.
