By Faith
Religious rules are man-made and weigh us down with burdens God did not intend for us to carry. They leave us constantly striving to keep rules instead of personally pursuing God.
We know very well that we are not set right with God by rule-keeping but only through personal faith in Jesus Christ.
Gal. 2:15 Message
Rule keeping consists of rituals that produce no lasting impact or change in your life or heart. It fools us into thinking we are right with God based on our works instead of faith.
When we live focused on rule keeping we are always looking at ourselves instead of looking to God. This kind of life keeps God in a box and limits our ability to know Him as well as our ability to help others.
The Bible warns that the only way to please God is by faith (Heb. 11:6). Our performance cannot save us.
Jesus does.
Live by faith. Live God first.
