The Influence of Prayer

Prayer changes everything!  I cannot count the number of things I've seen changed because of prayer.

Living God first involves keeping a running conversation with God in your head - prayer.

           The first thing I want you to do is pray.  Pray every way you know how for everyone you know.

Prayer is not to be confined or limited to church or time spent on your knees or face.  Prayer is a way of life.  It is you trusting God with every care, concern, and need in your heart.  It is you lifting up the needs and desires of the people you share life with, whether you know them or not.

With our hearts focused on God, our prayers are fervent and effectual (James 5:16).  Nothing is impossible. 

              Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.
                                                     Col. 4:2 NLT

Pray on purpose.
Pray spontaneously.
Pray when you don't know what to say or do.
Pray for every desire in your heart.
Pray for the people around you.
Pray with confidence.
Pray God's word.
Pray for your church.
Pray for your neighbors.
Pray for your city.
Pray for your nation.
Pray for people you don't know.

With a world so full of hate and selfishness and people so quick to get angry, our very lives and the well being of our nation need the help of God that comes as a result of our prayers.

Let every need and hurt you see today become a prayer.
