As we accept God's grace and mercy to help us through life, we have to keep our hearts and minds dedicated to God.

The pursuit of God requires determination and focus, for it is no easy ride. The Bible says the only way to God is through Jesus (John 14:6). Jesus is the Word made flesh. To know Jesus is to know the Word and vice versa.
Time and energy are necessary investments for living a godly life. Instead of living carelessly, one must plan on purpose to live according to God's word. Time spent reading the Bible and learning about Jesus is only the beginning.
Work will be involved and it's not easy work but vigorous work, very similar to planting a garden. You cannot produce a harvest of vegetables without first putting time and effort into preparing the soil and caring for the seeds after they have been planted. Your life with God is the same way.
The pursuit of God will require a lot out of you. There will be things you have to put a lot of thought into. You will have to guard and protect the words of God planted in your heart.
The cool thing about putting your time, focus, and energy into living a godly life is that you are guaranteed to get more in return than you have invested.
The time and effort you put into living with God will produce rewards bigger than you can imagine.
