Sacrifice of Thanks
Let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and sing joyfully about His glorious acts.
Psalm 107:22 NLT
We don't usually think of thanking God for all the amazing things He has done for us as a sacrifice. We are so happy being loved and cared for by Him that words of thanks often flow from our mouths like a rushing river. But when our circumstances change and we face trouble, those same words become hard to remember.
Being thankful is a sacrifice when we thank God in the midst of pain and suffering. Inner turmoil can prevent us from remembering God's presence with us. It is during those times of trouble that being thankful is a pleasing sacrifice to the Lord.
God does so much for us. We often don't realize it and take Him for granted. His strength and wisdom are always ready for our use. We are held constantly in His mighty arms where He shares both our sorrows and our joys.
Don't forget that you are never alone. In all situations, God is with you.
Cultivate the habit of expressing your thanks to God in all seasons.
