Teacher
Throughout the gospels, Jesus was called, "Teacher." He taught people everyday in the synagogues, on the mountain side, and from a boat. Everywhere He went, He told stories to teach lessons and used examples people could understand and relate to.
This is what the prophets meant when they wrote, 'And then they will all be personally taught by God.' Anyone who has spent any time listening to the Father, really listening and therefore learning comes to Me to be taught personally - to see it with his own eyes, hear it with is own ears, from Me, since I have it firsthand from the Father.
John 6:45 Message
God is both a group educator as well as a personal tutor. I like that. I like the fact that He cares enough to give us lessons one-on-one.
Jesus is our life coach. By listening to Him we learn to make wise choices and decisions. He helps us to live a life of faith in this often lopsided world. He teaches us about life by pointing out the differences between Kingdom life and the world's way of living.
Notice this verse says that we would see with our own eyes and hear with our own ears. God wants us to really see and hear Him. God wants to be personally involved and included in what we do. He stays close to us, using our everyday lives as opportunities for instruction and teaching.
God's plan for us is not one size fits all. We all receive His gifts and we have the same destination but our journey is our own. The details of your life have been orchestrated by the Lord God Almighty and He wants to personally help you on your way.
You are greatly loved and highly valued by God. You are a rare and beautiful treasure to Him, a joy and delight to His heart, and God has invested Himself personally in your education by giving you Jesus.
Let Jesus be your Teacher and learn from Him.
