What You Get

Those who shut their ears to the cries of the poor will be ignored in their own time of need.
                                               Prov. 21:13 NLT

This same message is repeated throughout the Bible in several ways.

You will harvest what you plant.
                            Gal. 6:7 NLT

The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.
                            Prov. 11:25 NLT

How we treat others is the same way we will be treated.  When we see someone in need and turn away from them without helping, we are setting ourselves up to have unmet needs.

- If we do not forgive, we will not be forgiven.

- If we are unkind, we will be treated unkindly.

- If we are greedy, we will lose what we have.

- If we are hateful, we will be hated.

- If we are selfish, we will do without.

Every person is created by God whether they believe in Him or not and it is important to God that we treat others right.

- The merciful will receive mercy.

- The generous will be made rich.

- The kind will be treated kindly.

- The loving will be loved.

If you don't like the way you are being treated, then stop and look at how you treat other people (Luke 6:31-38).

Live God First by responding to people the way you want to be responded to.
