Spiritual Blessings 2
As we go through this first chapter of Ephesians, please note that this is not a complete list of all the spiritual blessings. In 1 Corinthians 12:1 the same Greek word for "spiritual" is used in referring to the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I encourage you to study for yourself. Add to and complement this series with your own experiences and notes.
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.
Eph. 1:3 NLT
Every privilege of heaven has been given to you already through Jesus. Christ is the door you walk through to enter and obtain all the benefits of a heavenly life. The great thing about this is that you do not have to wait until you get to heaven to have and enjoy these blessings.
We constantly have the presence of God with us because His Holy Spirit dwells within us. This in itself is a blessing. What could we possibly do that is so great that would warrant the presence of God's Spirit in us? Nothing apart from our acceptance of Jesus Christ.
The only requirement for receiving all the spiritual blessings is to accept Jesus Christ and what He has done on your behalf. Don't let your mind or tradition tell you that you have to do anything else. The Word is very clear here, we are given the blessings based solely on being united to Christ.
Our connection to Jesus allows us to receive directly from God every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places and live them on this earth.
