Love of God

I am so grateful for the love of God!  

God loves us with a deep, intimate, covenant love that is far greater and stronger than what we can imagine.  It satisfies every longing of our heart for peace, comfort, and acceptance.

Today I want to share the description of love from the Message Bible.

        Love never gives up.
        Love cares more for others than for self.
        Love doesn't want what it doesn't have.
        Love doesn't strut,
        Doesn't have a swelled head,
        Doesn't force itself on others,
        Isn't always "me first,"
        Doesn't fly off the handle,
        Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
        Doesn't revel when others grovel,
        Takes pleasure in the flowering of the truth,
        Puts up with anything,
        Trusts God always,
        Always looks for the best,
        Never looks back,
        But keeps going to the end.
                       1 Cor. 13:4-8

In summary, love recognizes the value God has in each person and treats all people with respect and dignity. 

Show your love for God by loving others the way He loves you.
