The Mind of Christ
When I first met Jesus, I wanted God to use big flashing neon signs to show me what He wanted me to do. But that is not how God works. Instead of an impersonal road sign on the highway of life, He has given me His Holy Spirit who is personally active in my life.
And we have received God's Spirit (not the world's spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.
1 Cor. 2:12 NLT
God's thoughts and plans are known only by His Holy Spirit. He decided long ago to make Himself known through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit is the One who brings the revelation of God alive in the hearts and minds of believers.
Knowing we would need help in this world, God has given us full access to all His wisdom through His gift of the Holy Spirit Who helps us to make good decisions and choices by revealing to us all the gifts and blessings that are ours through our union with Jesus Christ.
But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.
1 Cor. 1:24 NLT
The Holy Spirit reveals the gifts and calling of God to our spirit. When our spirits commune with the Holy Spirit, we are able to comprehend the glorious gifts of salvation, redemption, and the newness of life. Jesus is both the power and wisdom of God. It is because of our spirit's connection to Jesus through the Holy Spirit that we are able to receive all the gifts of God.
...we have the mind of Christ.
1 Cor. 2:16 NLT
Jesus is the wisdom of God and we have His mind through the power of the Holy Spirit. We know the thoughts of God. We have the ability, by God's grace, to live wisely and make good choices. Not because of our intellect or formal education but because God teaches us one on one. One of the names used to describe the Holy Spirit (and Jesus)was Teacher. Together they help us learn how to live godly lives in an ungodly world.
We cannot learn who God is and what He wants by relying on the guesses of other people. The only way to know God is to know Him for yourself. He has given you the ability to understand and apply His wisdom to your life through Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Keep your spirit involved with the Holy Spirit and your life will reflect the wisdom and power of God.
You have the mind of Christ.
