Psalm 23:6
The Lord is my Shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of
the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the
presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;
No matter where I go, You are always with me. You go before me and come behind me. I am surrounded by Your goodness. Each day, Your benefits are loaded in my life. Your mercy keeps me in Your light and Your eyes never leave me. My life depends on Your mercy and grace.
(John 1:16-17; Heb. 13:5; 1 Chro. 16:34; Psalm 57:3, 100:5)
And I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
The Lord is my dwelling place. We cannot be separated. I have been adopted by God and I am part of His family. Jesus has prepared a special place for me. Jesus lives in me. I am at home in Christ. We are one.
(John 14:3, 20, 23; Rom. 8:38-39; 1 John 3:2; Eph. 3:17)
Psalm 23 is one of my favorite meditations. I hope you've enjoyed this.
