Remember the Lord

When Nehemiah was leading the people to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, their enemies conspired to attack them and stop their progress.  Word of the impending attack came to Nehemiah and His response was this:

"...Do not be afraid of them.  Remember the Lord, great and awesome..."
                              Neh. 4:14 NKJ

We all encounter fear but it is our response to it that determines our future.  We can let fear cripple us and keep us tied down or we can choose to look beyond our emotions and follow the leadings of the Holy Spirit.  God does not want us to hide from our fears but to face them - in His strength.

Remember the Lord, great and awesome.

When you encounter fear, remember the Lord.  Purposefully change your thoughts from the fear to what God has promised.

Remember the Lord, great and awesome.

Acknowledge your fears to God then remind Him of His promises.  Thank Him for always being faithful to His word.  Choose to trust God and not let fear dominate you.

Remember the Lord, great and awesome.

God is strong enough to make you strong.  Nothing can stop Him.  The only way you won't succeed is if you quit.  With Him, you can overcome whatever you are facing.  Don't let fear stop you from living God's plan for you.

Remember the Lord, great and awesome.
