Being Whole
And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved...
Joel 2:32 NKJ
God rescues our entire being through salvation. He is concerned about and wants to be involved in every aspect of our lives. Throughout the Old Testament we see story after story of how God took care of every need of His people. Psalm 23 is a picture of how concerned God is with all the details of our lives.
Below are a few thoughts about God and being whole - as a person and as the church.
God has invited all people to live in His love because it takes all of us to make the body of Christ whole.
We are called to follow Christ with our whole life.
God is interested in every detail of our lives because we will only be whole when we include Him.
We are protected by God so we remain whole.
God restores our bodies so that our health will be whole.
Broken hearts are repaired by His love so we will have wholeness within.
We are placed specifically in the church so that the whole body of Christ functions properly.
God provides nourishment and rest so that we can have wholeness of life.
He replaces what has been taken away from us so we will find the whole of our needs met in Him.
The Holy Spirit has been given to us so that we can have the whole of God's wisdom and guidance in every situation.
God wants us to be whole as individuals and as the body of Christ.
