Memory and Perspective

It is easy to forget all the great things God has done for us when we are not actively involved with Jesus.  Our relationship with Him helps to keep us mindful of how good God has been to us.  It also changes our perspective.

How we interpret the world around us is shaped by the relationships we are active in.  Without a genuine friendship with Jesus, life can be overwhelming and full of negativity and doubt.  Knowing Jesus and the promises of God changes how we view other people and the world.

Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions.  Don't worry about missing out.  You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.
                              Matt. 6:33 The Message

Worry not only blocks our view of the future, it also limits our memory.  Stop worrying and look instead for things to be thankful for.   Remind yourself often of all the cool things God has done for you through Jesus (see the post "Eliminate Forgetfulness").

Learn to see the world around you from God's point of view.   By changing your perspective, you will see God moving in ways you never saw before in places you have been before.

Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow.  God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.
                              Matt. 6:34 The Message

Focus on Jesus.  Live in the now.  Don't worry about your past and don't try to figure out the future.  Live today with confidence by knowing that all your needs are met in Christ.  Change your perspective by investing time and energy into your relationship with Jesus.

Your relationship with Jesus changes how you view the world.

A new perspective opens doors of opportunities for you to live better and help others.
