One Year

It has been one year since this blog was started.  Wow - what an adventure! 

For those of you who have followed from the beginning I want to say thank you.  My hope is that you will continue to read, learn, and grow with me on this journey of life.  Of course, I would also like you to share it with your friends and encourage others to follow it as well.

My goal in writing this blog is to help people live intimately with God while being in a very troubled world.  Life as we know it now is not how we will live for eternity.  This is a powerful truth to those of us who believe in Jesus Christ.  We have something far better to look forward to but we cannot spend today just hanging around waiting for His return. 

God has given us all a purpose in this world.  Part of mine is to write this blog.  I promised God when I first started that if there was only one person to ever benefit from this then whatever I have to put into it is worth it.   I had learned the lesson that greatness in the eyes of man is not the same thing as greatness in the eyes of God.

I am not part of the "in" crowd, I don't know a lot of famous people and I don't have a whole lot of money.  I am, however, right where God wants me to be and I am helping the people He has put in my life.  I have chosen to be someone who reaches out and helps others without counting the cost.  You are one of the people I am committed to helping.

As I look ahead to the second year of blogging, I hope to have more interaction with you so we can help each other grow closer to God and reach our full potential. 

I am convinced that God has something special for you.  You are essential to His will being done on earth and I want you to be confident in who you are and what you can do to help others.
