Remembering
As millions of people all over the world stopped to remember the horrific events that took place on September 11, 2001 - I too paused and remembered where I was and what I was doing.
I was in the 2nd Mile Ministry training program at my church. The shock of hearing America had been attacked took us to our knees. We prayed the whole day and we, like many others, continued to pray.
Patriotism seemed to revive in those first few days, months, and years after the initial attack but as time has gone by I think many have forgotten.
I won't forget.
Although I was no where near any of the attacks, my life, and that of my family, took a different path as a result of that day.
Through service and sacrifice, we have kept our promise to never forget.
I hope that we never forget.
God bless America!
