Under Construction

Present yourselves as building stones for the construction of a sanctuary vibrant with life, in which you'll serve as holy priests offering Christ-approved lives up to God.
                              1 Peter 2:5 Message

Everyday we are given opportunities to choose whether we are going to build on the work of Christ or tear it down.  Who and what we are connected to influences our choice.

A life with Jesus is not always easy and choosing to do the right thing can be a huge struggle for us, especially if we are connected to things like bitterness or resentment.

Our growth in Christ is prevented when we treat people poorly by letting prejudism and unforgiveness remain within us.  These connections weaken us and over time will cause us great suffering.

Our connection to Jesus, along with other believers and a local church help us to build our life as a vibrant sanctuary.  These kind of connections strengthen the framework of our lives and give us stability.  Remember the story of the house built on sand compared to the one built on Jesus?

Your life is a building stone in God's kingdom.  Do your part in the construction process by eliminating any unhealthy connections so that you will continue to grow.

Strong healthy connections will help you live a God first life.
