Believing For Life
A life of faith is not lived in a day. Just because you decide to believe God's promises are actually meant for you does not mean that you automatically live them. There is no magic wand in God's hand that will be waved over your head and instantly give you a perfect life of faith.
Persistence is required to reach any goal and living a life of faith is no exception.
The Bible says that we learn little by little, line upon line, precept upon precept. This means that every step of faith is based on the previous step. A believing life begins with the decision to live with God and it is lived one step at time, one day at a time.
So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word.
Heb. 10:23 Amplified
A believing life holds on to the promises of God and does not let go. Refusing to let go of God's promises requires persistence. Everyday we are given opportunities to live what we believe and learn something new about God and the unlimited plan He has for us.
I usually describe life as a roller coaster with ups and downs, scary times and exhilarating times but no matter where I am on the ride, God is with me. His word will endure. I trust God because I have learned through good and not so good times that He is always with me and He will take care of me. I would not know what I know about God if I had let go of Him along the way.
A believing life is confident in God's faithfulness.
No matter what your life is like at this moment, I encourage you to keep holding on to God. Do not let go, do not turn away. God is with you and His strength can overcome anything.
A life of faith in God is built over time through persistence.
