300th Post
In honor of my 300th post I want to share a definition of love that I found when I did a Bible study called, "Because of Jesus." I have this written on a 3 X 5 card and I read it almost every day as a reminder of how Jesus loves me and how I want to love others.
Love is patient and kind.
Love is never envious nor boils over with jealousy.
Love is not conceited and inflated with pride, snobbish nor does it cherish ideas of it's own importance.
Love does not look down on others.
Love does not judge or criticize or condemn others.
Love does not offend people by rudeness or by being inconsiderate or indecent or rash. It is always courteous.
Love (God's love in us) does not insist on it's own rights or it's own way, for it is not self-seeking.
Love is not touchy or resentful.
Love forgives.
Love is not easily provoked or prone to anger. It pitches no tantrums and refuses to take offense.
Love is not irritable.
Love takes no account of the evil done to it, holds no grudges, hardly even notices when others do it wrong, does not broad over an injury, does not remember wrongs done to it; does not nurse hurt feelings.
Love does not pamper evil thoughts, but nurtures the word of God in the inner man.
Love does not gloat over another man's sin; but rejoices in the truth.
Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. It endures everything (without weakening).
Love is ever ready to believe the best of every person and is slow to expose.
I pray that love grows in your life.
