A Genuine Gift
WOW! It's Thanksgiving tomorrow already! Time sure is flying by. We've been talking about giving this week and I came across a verse in Proverbs that has stuck in my heart.
A wicked man puts on the bold unfeeling face [of guilt], but as for the upright, he considers, directs and establishes his way [with the confidence of integrity].
Prov. 21:29 Amplified
The wicked pretend to be what they are not. Their dishonesty is hidden for a time by the mask they wear.
People of integrity have the confidence of being genuine as a compass in their lives that enables them to make good choices and decisions.
People who try to hide in pretense fall often and fall hard. The weight of deception is unbearable.
Genuine people live free from guilt and shame because they are true to themselves and even when they mess up, they have their hope and trust securely anchored in God and not their performance or the opinions of others.
Gifts given without a sincere heart lack meaning.
As we enter the commercialized frenzy that the holiday season has become, I encourage you to give genuinely from your heart. Be sincere in all that you do and stop pretending to be anything you are not.
God makes you the best version of you there is. Allow others to enjoy you as the beautiful person He made you to be.
Being true to yourself is a genuine gift that you can give to others throughout the whole year.

P.S. I am thinking about studying the 7 "I AM" statements of Jesus for the month of December. Tell me what you think.
