I AM the Way and the Truth and the Life

               Jesus said to him, "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me."
                              John 14:6 Amplified

Our sin prevents us from having a relationship with God, the Father, for the two cannot live together.  The Law of the Old Testament does not remove our sin and neither can we redeem ourselves through good works.  The only way our sin can be removed is through Jesus Christ.

One of the reasons Jesus is the only Way to God because He is the only way our sins can be eternally forgiven and removed.

Jesus teaches us that to know Him is to know God.  Here are a few things that describe the unity of the Father and Son:

- Jesus is the Word of God in the shape of a man (John 1:14)

- Jesus is the power and wisdom of God (1 Cor. 1:24)

- Jesus and God are one (John 1:34)

- Jesus is the very life of God (John 14:6)

All that God is can be found and seen in Jesus Christ. 

Jesus is the part of God that has touched our sin and removed it from us so that we may come closer to God, the Father.  He restores us to the place that Adam and Eve had in the Garden of Eden thus allowing us the opportunity to live with God.

As the truth of God and the very life of God, there is no other way to know God except through Jesus Christ.
