Emily
Emily is my first grandchild. To say I am excited by her arrival is an understatement.
As a mom of two beautiful and brilliant young women (no bias on my part either), I thought I really understood what love is. But as I watched my daughter and her husband during the labor process and then looked at Emily in all her wondrous perfection, I realized just how much God loves, adores and delights in us.
He knows the limits of our humanness and yet He is thrilled every time we call His name. He does not pay as much attention to our faults as we do because His love for us over shadows everything else.
I have found the verse that I will pray over Emily all the days of her life.
I am totally besotted - mesmerized by her perfection. As I have cooed and cheered at her every yawn, sneeze, squeak and movement it occurred to me that this is how God loves each and every one of us.

For though the mountains should depart and the hills be shaken or removed, yet My love and kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace and completeness be removed, says the Lord, Who has compassion on you.
Isaiah 54:10 Amplified
Bask in the gloriousness of being personally loved by the Creator of all things.
I pray that you live freely and securely in God's promise to love you for all eternity.
