Live and Love Today

               ...And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and to walk humbly with your God?
                              Micah 6:8 Amplified

This verse has been on my mind for days. 

I used to think that in order to really serve God, one had to work full time in "the ministry" and that it had to have a big following.  When I first started writing this blog, God challenged me to let go of both of these wrong ideas.

What we do everyday matters to God.  It is not important to God what our job title is or how many people notice what we do.  All He asks is that we uphold justice, love mercy and share our daily life with Him. 

These are the fundamental steps to loving others which is the second command given to us by Jesus. 

Several days ago we talked about living one day at a time and living that one day to the best of our ability.  We don't have to make a big production out of what we are doing. 

Simply do what you do but keep in mind the words justice, mercy, and living with God.  Use them as your guide and incorporate them into your life today.

Let's live today doing what is right (just), loving mercy and involving God in all that we do.
