Never Alone
Haven't I commanded you? Strength! Courage! Don't be timid; don't get discouraged. God, your God, is with you every step you take.
Joshua 1:9 Message
I love the idea that God has promised to be with me no matter where I go. One of the Psalmist's explores the idea that from the depths of hell to the highest part of heaven, God is there (Psalm 139).
As I have meditated on mercy this week, I realized that even when I mess up, God stays with me. He does not like my sin but He loves me. Mercy is part of His love for me.
In accepting God's love, we accept His mercy.
God's promise to walk with us through this life is no little thing. It means we can share our hearts completely with Him. His presence is the one place that is totally safe. The words, "He is my Shelter" and "He is my refuge" take on a whole new meaning when we recognize that no matter what things look like around us, we are never alone.
Through Jesus Christ we have been attached to God and nothing can separate us.
For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:28-29 Amplified
Know today that God is with you and you are never alone.
