Accepted

Jesus hears the words we speak with our mouths and in our hearts.  He always listens when we speak to Him even if we don't "feel" like He is.

The Lord has heard my cry for mercy; the Lord accepts my prayer.
                              Psalm 6:9 NIV

I find the second part of this verse most interesting.  Jesus accepts our prayers.  Of course He does!  Why wouldn't He?  He loves us greatly.  Jesus gave His life on our behalf so that we could have eternal life with God, the Father.

Sadly though, there are many people who discount their ability to talk Jesus because of their past behavior or poor choices.  But Jesus is no respecter of persons.  Anyone who comes to Jesus is always loved, wanted, accepted, and heard.

Our acceptance with Jesus is based on only one thing and that is our belief in Him.

It's impossible to please God apart from faith.  And why?  Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that He exists and that He cares enough to respond to those who seek Him.
                              Heb. 11:6 Message

It is our belief in Him that allows Jesus to hear and accept our prayers.  He does not turn us off when our behavior is not perfect.  In fact, I think it brings Him great joy to see us get up after we fall and look to Him for help.

You personally matter to Jesus and anytime you turn to Him and speak to Him, He accepts you and your prayers.
