Always

Most believers are aware of the description of love found in 1 Corinthians chapter 13 but I don't think many of us take the time to meditate and focus on each one. 

              Love never fails.
                              1 Cor. 13:8 NIV


Today I did just that.  I focused on this one characteristic of love.  It never fails.  Both 1 John 4:8 and 16 say - God is love.  Since God is love then we can say God never fails.  He always wins, always comes through. 

God is often called the Holy Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Jesus is God and God is Jesus.  They are One.  So we can also say - Jesus never fails.

Jesus is my best friend and as I thought about Him and this one verse I came up with this list.

Jesus is always with us,
Always giving to us,
Always loving us,
Always protecting us,
Always feeding us,
Always helping us,
Always forgiving us,
Always healing us,
Always strengthening us,
Always nourishing us,
Always refreshing us,
Always leading us,
Always restoring us,
Always guiding us,
Always listening for us.

I could continue but I hope you get the point.  Whatever you need in any given moment, has been given to you through Jesus. 

Your feelings or perceptions about a situation may not always match what Jesus has promised but your feelings will change.  His love for you never will and that means what He has promised, He has done and given to you.

Throughout the day remind yourself that Jesus loves you and He will never fail you.
