Greater
Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.
1 John 4:4 Amplified
Being part of Christ's body allows us access to and full use of all of God's strength, power, wisdom, and love. Nothing we face today can overcome or defeat us (unless we let it) because God in us is bigger and stronger.
Far too often we let appearances keep us from moving forward and taking that next step. "It looks too hard," "I can't do it," and "I'm scared" are just a few of the excuses we use to give up our place in life and in doing so, we stop ourselves from reaching our full potential.
Jesus told us we would face trials and tribulations (John 6:33) but He also told us that He has overcome the world. This is past tense meaning the winner has been announced. Just as it says in the verse above, we have already won because of God in us. It does not matter what it looks like or how we feel about the situation. We have already won!
God does not ask us to do anything He knows will be harmful to us. Everything He asks us to do - no matter how hard it looks - is for our own benefit.
I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me.
Phil. 4:13
You can do it. Nothing is impossible for you, if you rely on God's help. When fear rises up, and it will, acknowledge it but also declare your trust and faith in God to help you do whatever needs to be done in order to keep yourself moving to the victory you have been given through Christ.
Refuse to let fear control your life. Instead, trust God's promises to not only be with you but to empower you to finish strong.
Keep God's promises before you and don't look away from them. Say continually:
Greater is He Who is in me than he who is in the world.
I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me.
The greater One lives in you and you have the victory.
