Loved

I have recently experienced a huge breakthrough in experiencing and really receiving God's great, limitless and unconditional love for me.  I want you to get it too.

               And we know (understand, recognize, are conscious of, by observation and by experience) and believe (adhere to and put faith in and rely on) the love God cherishes for us. God is love, and he who dwells and continues in love dwells and continues in God, and God dwells and continues in him.
                              1 John 4:16 Amplified

There is a lot here in this verse about the love God has for us, so let me break it down into bite size pieces.

We know God loves us.

We understand God loves us.

We are conscious of God's love for us.

We observe God's love for us.

We experience God's love for us.

We believe God loves us.

We adhere to God's love.

We have faith in God's love.

We rely on God's love.

We all say, "Yes, I know God loves me." but our lives quite often do not reflect it.  Our lives and our choices would be different if we really believed that God loves us.  Our reactions to people and situations would be different.

If we really accepted God's love for us, we would be confident when challenges arise because we would have no doubts about them working out.  We'd allow God to handle more things instead of trying to fix them ourselves.

We would not compare ourselves to others if we really believed God loves us.  Negative words about ourselves or others would not come out of our mouths.  We'd quit blaming others for our choices and be more accepting. 

If we really had confidence in God's love for us we would stand comfortably in His presence instead of stressing out.  There would be no guilt or condemnation when we mess up. 

I challenge you to change each of the above statements to "I" statements and meditate on each one daily for a week.  Remind yourself throughout the day that God loves you.  Say it over and over whenever you have a few free minutes.  I promise you and every aspect of your life will be changed.

Start today saying, "God loves me."  Then think about what that looks like in your life.  You don't have to DO anything except receive it.  Don't think about your mistakes or what you think your lacking.  There is nothing you can do to make God love you any more or any less.  His love is limitless and neverending.  It does not weaken or fade.  Embrace it.  Wrap your arms around the love God has for you and don't let go.  God loves you.
