Simple Trust

It is hard to deny the power of the spoken word.  God created the heavens and the earth by speaking them into existence.  When God speaks, things happen.

For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.
                              Psalm 33:9 Amplified

Stop and think about that for a minute....

When God says something is going to happen, it will.  Period.  End of discussion.  It will happen.

Our life with Christ can be lived simply when we cling to this truth.  Regardless of what the situation looks like in front of us if God promises us something then it will most certainly happen.

I did notice that it does not say it will always be easy.  We know the devil is going to try to get us upset and steal the promises of God from us (John 10:10) but he cannot do it unless we quit believing God.  When we stop trusting God to come through on His word, then we are accepting the lies of the devil.

The simple truth that all of us can live by is this:  God's word will always accomplish it's goal.

So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
                              Isaiah 55:11 Amplified

God will always keep His word.  We can trust what He says.  The Bible promises that we are blessed when keep our trust in Him and not let ourselves get distracted by what things look like in the present moment.

There is only one thing that can stop us from living out God's promises in our life and that is our unbelief.

As long as we keep our trust and confidence in God, we will receive and live everything that He promises us.  It will not happen overnight and the way may take some curves we didn't expect but we can be confident that God will always keep His word.

Whatever it is you are counting on God for, don't give up.  Don't stop believing (I can hear that song from a long time ago), don't give in to the heat of the moment, and don't take your eyes off of God.  You can always count on Him.

Keep in mind that God will not get to the promise the way you think He will.  He may ask you to do things along the way that don't make sense and of course the devil will try to discourage you but regardless of what happens on your journey, you will reach the goal and receive the promise when you keep your faith in God.

A God first life is built on simple trust.
