Mission Possible

You were made for a time such as this!

I know these were the words Mordecai spoke to Ester (Ester 4:14) but I believe God is speaking these same words to you today.

God has a plan and a purpose for your life.  Your mission should you choose to accept it is to follow Jesus for the rest of your life.  It will require training and perseverance and you cannot skip steps or graduate early.

This mission will not be complete until Jesus returns or you leave this world.  You will not always be able to see or understand the big picture but you must keep moving forward.  The mission always comes before your feelings.

You will be required to wait on God and let Him guide you as you take:
- One thing,
- One moment,
- One hour,
- One day,
- One shift,
- One week,
- One month,
- One year at a time.

The training plan is simple.  Read your Bible, do what it says, and trust and rely on God.  Keep your sights set on Him!  He will lead and guide you the entire time.  Let go of what lies behind you and press forward to grab a hold of what God has planned for you (Phil 3:13).

Don't worry about making mistakes because you will.  Perfection is not required.  It is because of your imperfections that you need to learn to how to rely on Jesus and include Him in all you do.  So when you make a mess - learn the lesson, get back up and keep moving forward.  Do not stop moving forward!

This is a process not a drive through.  Things will take time but through it all you must remain pliable in the hands of God.  Wait for Him.  Remember, the mission comes first.

You will be hurt along the way but don't worry, God can handle it.  He will heal your hurts as well as take care of those hurt you.  Don't let it interfere with your mission.

The Light of Christ will be your compass.  Stay in the light!  This is VERY important.  No matter where you go His light will guide you.  It will not bend or weaken but will continuously shine like the noon day sun.  If you get off on a rabbit trail and find the darkness closing in, turn back to the Light.  He will be waiting for you.

You will never be alone on this mission.  Jesus will be with you the whole time.  He knows what's ahead and He will help you prepare for it.  Whatever you need along the way, He will provide.  Just keep up your training and listen to Him.

The mission is not easy but the victory is guaranteed.  You will succeed if you do not quit.  It is a - mission possible - but only if you accept it.

So?  Will you accept the mission?
