Changed
When I met Jesus, my life was a mess. I was a hurting, unhappy woman who wanted desperately to be loved. Jesus accepted me just like I was. He has consistently and unwaveringly loved me, removed the dirt and filth of my sin, and filled me with unbelievable peace.
He drew me up out of a horrible pit [a pit of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay (froth and slime), and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings. Psalm 40:2 Amplified
Life is a journey we take with God only when we let Him join us. Here we are able to lively freely, exploring God and ourselves so that we can gain greater insight and understanding. With His help, our journey results in changes that bring us to new places we never dreamed we would go.
He stands us on solid ground and keeps us secure and safe as we make the transition from the old way to the new. We are never left alone in this process. Jesus stays by our side the whole time, helping our every step.
Every now and then, it is good to look back to where you were when you started your relationship with Jesus so you can see how much you have changed. It stands as a reminder that what you could not do yourself - get out of that pit - Jesus was able to do for you.
Thank God for the progress you have made since you started your journey with Him. Thank Him for the amazing work He has done in and through you.
Thank God for changing the scenery of your life from the clay and mud of stagnation to the hills and fields of adventure.
Thank God that you have changed.
