I love the Psalms. They help me stay mindful of all the great things God has done for me and what He continues to do for me. They also help me focus on how great God truly is and how much He really loves each and everyone of us.

Many, O Lord my God, are the wonderful works which You have done, and Your thoughts toward us; no one can compare with You! If I should declare and speak of them, they are too many to be numbered.
Psalm 40:5 Amplified

It amazes me to think that God, the Creator of all things, the Lord God Almighty, the Holy living God would care so much about you and me but it is true. He is very interested in us and in our lives.

Our finite and limited minds have a hard time keeping the distractions of this world from consuming us. We get so caught up in our own issues that the whole day can go by before we realize that we have not stopped and talked to God about any of it.

In fact I would go so far as to say that God is not the first person we go to when something comes up or catches us off guard. For some people He may be second or third on the list and others may feel that their issue is either too small or too big for God so they don't even talk to Him about it at all.

I am telling you today that God genuinely cares about you. Every detail of your life is important to Him and He would love for you to ask for His help and to lean on His understanding.

Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.
1 Peter 5:7 Amplified

If something matters to you then it matters to God. If you are concerned about someone or something then God is too. If you are happy for someone so is God. All the things that are important to you are important to God. The one difference is that His responses and His thoughts about them may not line up with your expectations.

God views things differently than we do because He knows the end of the story. He knows why things happen and how they will play out. But that does not stop Him from empathizing with you and it definitely does not diminish His desire to help you.

God really does care about you and when you don't get what you think you want or need He is not saying that He doesn't care. What He's saying is that He cares too much about you to give you something that won't be good for you in the long run.

God will share all your worries because above all things He is concerned about you.
