In Response

But the salvation of the [consistently] righteous is of the Lord; He is their Refuge and secure Stronghold in the time of trouble. And the Lord helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they trust and take refuge in Him.
Psalm 37:39-40 Amplified

Our salvation comes to us through Jesus Christ and it is our faith in Him that makes us righteous. In times of trouble, He is our refuge and our stronghold. He anchors our raging emotions in His peace so that we can take comfort in His provision.

When we keep our focus on God's promises and refuse to let go of them even in the tough times, we will be taken care of. Our needs will be met and the situation will be made right. God will intervene on our behalf and He will bring justice.

Notice in the second verse that it says God responds to our trust - "because they trust in Him." Jesus lives in us and our response to the many gifts He gives us affects God's participation in our lives.

The more we trust God for, the more He gives us. The goal here is to live with absolute confidence in God to keep His promises. God will give us only what we allow Him to.

What are you trusting God for today? Have you asked for His help or guidance with something? Are you counting on Him to respond or have you stepped out ahead of Him on your own?

Allow God to do great things with you by trusting Him to be all that you need.
