What To Do

Everyday we are bombarded with choices.  Just in laundry detergent alone we have over 10 brands not to mention the choices we make when it comes to following the speed limit or trying to get through a yellow light.  Consistently doing the right thing produces peace and peace is only found on the narrow road.

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
                              Matt. 7:13-14 NIV

God wants you to ponder and think about things but He also wants you to do the right thing and doing the right thing can be torture to your emotions if they are attached to something else.  Separate your emotions from the situation when you are making decisions.  Use your mind to decide what is the best response or coarse of action and always look to and rely on God for wisdom and guidance.

Regret does not follow doing the right thing.

As believers in Jesus Christ, we have power over our emotions and we can make good choices in every situation (2 Tim. 1:7) and the Bible promises that we will succeed at keeping our emotions out of things if we don't quit (Gal. 6:9). Using our minds instead of our emotions keeps us on the narrow path.

What you choose to do today influences what you will have tomorrow.

Let what you know determine how you live not your emotions.
