Yes It Matters

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty (snobbish, high-minded, exclusive), but readily adjust yourself to [people, things] and give yourselves to humble tasks. Never overestimate yourself or be wise in your own conceits.
Romans 12:16 Amplified

Pride can disguise itself as many things - snobbishness, rudeness, and intolerance. Jesus was none of these.

As we look at Jesus and the way He lived, we will see how we are to treat each other. Jesus included everyone in His offer of peace, joy, wisdom, and strength for all eternity. He made no demands on them except for one...to believe. All who believe in Him and believe that He is fully God and fully man are able to receive His offer.

Those who refused to believe were allowed to go their way. The consequences of their choice is for them alone to bear and Jesus did not get all bent out of shape about it and He most definitely did not react with hateful criticism.

How we treat people matters to God; we are, after all, His ambassadors in this world. As believers in Jesus Christ, we are His representatives on this earth. People who know we are Christians base their opinions of God on our behavior.

Treating people with dignity and respect is a choice. Just because we don't agree with their beliefs or opinions does not mean that we can treat them badly.

Treat others the way Jesus treats you.
