Two Years
God wants to be first in your life.
He also is the Head of [His] body, the church; seeing He is the Beginning, the Firstborn from among the dead, so that He alone in everything and in every respect might occupy the chief place [stand first and be preeminent].
Colossians 1:18 Amplified
This week marks the second year of the blog and it all started with my decision to put God first in my life. He has done an amazing work in my life and it is for that reason alone that I continue to write and share what I've learned from Him.
I remember the day that God told me He wanted to be first in every area of my life. My first response was to ask Him - "How do I do that?"
I was (and to a degree still am) a task oriented person. I like to have a 'to do' list so I can just get it done. Then I could feel good about myself because I completed the list. But God has never wanted blind obedience.
Since that day, God has been teaching me how to live in His freedom and enjoy the life He has given me. My joy and peace do not come from my circumstances or the situation I'm in - my joy comes from Jesus Christ. He gave them to me as gifts and I have made them mine.
I encourage everyone to seek God for Who He is. Put Him first in your heart, in your day, in your marriage, in your home, at your job, at the grocery store and in every other thing you do. He is always with you so why not include Him in all that you do?
If these post help you in any way a please share them. Repost the link on Facebook or twitter or Google+ and tell your friends about it. I don't want anyone to miss out on the best God has for them.
Make the decision today to live God first and don't stop pursuing Him. The Bible promises we will find Him when we seek Him.
Join me on the journey.
