Come to Have MORE

Our life with God begins with a decision. It is a choice we make to put an end to our struggling through a relationship with the Lord God Almighty.  Our life continues with God as we ask daily for His help and guidance.

We come to God broken and hurting and through the process of getting to know Him, we are healed. All healing begins when we decide to make God first in our lives.  There is not usually an instant removal of all our problems but God does not leave us to handle them on our own either. He stays with us and helps us work through things so that we can be healed and whole and have more of Him reflected in our lives.

Little children, keep yourselves from idols (false gods)--[from anything and everything that would occupy the place in your heart due to God, from any sort of substitute for Him that would take first place in your life]. Amen (so let it be).
                              1 John 5:21 Amplified

God wants to be first in our hearts and in our lives.  He wants to be our greatest love.  God has already given us full access to all He is and all He has.  Every resource of God and all His power and wisdom have been given to us through Christ.  There is only one thing that can stop us making use of all that we have and that one thing is us.

We can be the biggest inhibitor of God in our lives simply because we get in front of Him and try to fix things ourselves.  We have to learn how to let God be God and how to get out of His way.  So many times we step out in front of God and then we wonder why our plans don't work out.  It was shocking for me to learn that I make many things more complicated simply because I don't let God go first.

We can come to have MORE of God in our lives by consciously letting Him lead.

Having more and living God first have nothing to do with being perfect or having our way all the time.  As we continue to put God first in every area of our lives, we discover that our joy (pure, true joy) comes only from God's presence in our lives and that the situations or circumstances we encounter cannot steal our joy unless we move Him from first place.

We can come to have MORE joy and peace in our lives by making God first in our lives.
