By Grace

'Amazing Grace' has got to be the best known hymn of all time.  It is my favorite and I know many others feel the same way.  Every aspect of our lives depend on God's grace.  Whenever I think of the grace of God, I think of Paul asking God to remove his affliction.  Now the Bible does not tell us what the affliction is and I don't think it really matters.  God can handle anything.  After three times of bringing it up to God, Paul gets an answer.

But He said to me, "My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness.
                              2 Cor. 12:9 Amplified

Grace is defined as God's favor and love.  It is the influence of the Holy Spirit that operates in our lives on which we can rely for strength, wisdom, and mercy.  We all need God's grace.  It is by grace we are saved and it is by grace that we have access to the full and limitless love of God.

God's grace is sufficient for anything.  There is nothing too small or too big to bring to Him.  There is nothing that God cannot help you with.

When our journey gets tough, we can face and get through the storms by the grace of God.  We don't have to respond to unexpected obstacles with fear and trembling because we have the power of God in us.  It is His power that enables us to respond to anything with peace and wisdom.

In our weaknesses, God's strength is made perfect.  He can fill in the gap left over after we have done all we can do.  Just because we live by grace does not mean we are free from the responsibility of doing what we can do to the best of our ability.  We are partners with God.  As His servants in this world, we have jobs to do.  Some of those jobs may be easy for us while others may be very difficult.  But in all of it, we have to do our part and let God do His.

Many people think they can sit in their mess and demand God to wave His hand like a magician and fix everything instantly.  But that is not how God operates.  Oh, He can and does bring instant blessings in our lives but most of the time, our victories come when we do what we can and ask God to take care of what we can't.

God's grace is sufficient.
